Marc and daines
Well after such a bad experience at one of nottinghams top french restaurants le mistrel we decided to embark to another little french restaurant just out side the main drag of the city center , marc and daines dont sound very french but the website won us over with a cosy setting and a menu to get your mouth watering , all seemed ok at first if you ignore the fact that we were the only ones in there ! but i suppose sometimes that could be a bonus, service was pleasant unlike what i would call the worst main course ive ever had , the beef was elasticated the onions . . . Oh sorry there was none, and the chips were harder than rocky balboa ! so after downing my watered down wine i left to try and drown my sorrows . Hopefully my faith in french food is restored soon , bon appitete x

Watered down wine?
Dunno, the wine-list seemed expensive enough.
But yeah - microwaved plain rice doesnt really go with Boef Bouginon no matter how many leaflets its decorated with.
And double-chocolate concrete cheesecake capped an altogether unpleasant meal.
Confidence in French cuisine seems to be limited now to Pierre Vitoire or Petit Paris unless they go downhill too.
Dunno, might be that France is going through a bad patch?
